Natah

Her beauty and the robustness of her physique made her ideal for their physically intensive cultural dance. To be scouted to serve as a court dancer was the greatest honor to be given to the family of slaves. They gave away the young Natah, knowing they would never see their daughter again.
It was at her exhibition that she caught the eye of Ballas who purchased her for the price of a small palace. Although mutually reserved at first, Natah and Ballas bonded over a mutual ontology. They understood that life is synonymous with adversity and that art was the only sedative to the human condition.
His death clarified to her that all that she had ever loved was volatile. Her subsequent freedom came to her with the emptiness of purpose.
